So I think it's about time I set up a donation pool to really help me cycle my work on the site faster. I've been working really hard, and having a premium would make it even easier!

So, I made a facebook page a long time ago, but I've really been failing with keeping it up to date. As of late, I haven't been very interested in keeping my deviantart account, as I don't really like the way the site is run. Thus, I think I may just switch over to mainly using the facebook page. This'll give me a much better way of showing my gallery, as deviantart isn't amazing for sorting galleries.

If anyone is interested in following me there, I think I'll start using that as my primary art site, rather than deviantart. Here's the link: www.facebook.com/RenderIssues

I'll still be uploading here, but I don't think I'll be moving my art around as much, or talking as much. Sorry if this bugs anyone, I've just started to dislike the site.

Cheers,

Rubiksphoenix.

Having grown up in the 1990s, I was exposed to the early years of video games. From the NES, up until the N64, my memory of games has always come from watching my dad play old LucasArt, and Sierra puzzle games, plus my brother playing nintendo games. As I've grown up I've leant to appreciate the early years of the gaming industry, and always thought of the 2000s as a lesser shadow of its former self.

When I was growing up I wanted to be an art student, but my better understanding of maths and sciences led me down a path more suited to my skills, but has left my urge to paint and draw in the dust. I've tried drawing over the years to no avail, and painting from time to time. Eventually getting to digital art, I was reminded able the simplicity of old game sprites.

From there, I decided to come up a method of how to transfer old sprites onto canvases, both for personal nostalgic reasons and for those who grew up with the characters as well.

Hope you enjoy my work and gallery.

Thank you so much for the favorite on my Kirby blanket. I've seen your pixel art on spritestitch.com a couple times, and I've loved it (obviously since I've been following you!)
Also, if that is you as 10, you just became over 9000x more awesome :)

Oh wow, I'm working on german now, but it's nothing official. I'm glad to hear you're doing so well with languages!

AWW, thanks, I`ll get Spanish in approximately 4 months, I like languages a lot, Maybe I`m going to learn Chinese, I`ll give it a try, but I haven`t got an official certificate yet. Homeschooling has its perks, But some things aren`t nice about it. Ět`s quite lonely, There are no other people around you, one person unfriended me on Facebook, I don`t care about that He was just bragging about his guitar skills all day. There was a particular amongst other people at school, people who play the piano are boring, and they all hated classical music. I was just that average cat lady.

Hi there! I`m writing you because I`m wondering how your study is going and how you are doing of course. I`ve been transferred to another school and I have a decent education now, But I`t autumn holiday now, so I`ve got the time to draw things like cartoons or some nice Pokemon, speaking of which: Do you have the new pokemon X or Y? The Pokemon world is so much expanded now. And I still play the Crystal version. And I found some weird Chinese Pokemon games on the internet, I found them on a Russian emulating site. Sometimes it`s just really hard to draw one simple Jumpluff or Pikachu. Sorry for my terrible English, it isn`t my native language, but English isn`t rocket science. The grammar makes me think.

It requires a lot of practice to pint like that. Bullying the chickens was my favourite thing in Zelda games,

Luckily I've had a lot of practice painting over the past three years =]. And I love the chickens, they've become just a beacon of familiarity between the games.

That`s true, the N64 was my favourite thing in my childhood, I never liked it to play outside. I played Banjo Kazooie very often, because I was addicted. I don`t draw often, but when I do I`ll try to draw video game characters or pokemon.

Yeah, I use to draw a lot too, but I really started to feel attached to the old games I played when I started painting them.
